What is are good gifts/souvenirs to bring from India. (more specifically Bengaluru))?

I want to bring back souvenirs/gifts for my friends in the US but I am not sure what to bring.
Could you suggest:
gifts for high school aged girls (no scarfs)
general souvenirs,

Bengaluru has a lot of handicraft items. You could visit the Cauvery Emporium on MG Road or other state emporiums like Poompuhar or Kairali or UP State Emporium. There are several wood items like small toys, showpieces, pencil caps, pens etc. Also sandalwood items like small showpieces and small tables, incense sticks, brass lamps and boxes. You’ll also get colourful bags, table mats. pashmina shawls, bangles, bangle stands. Benguluru is also famous for silk material ( the range of silk is amazing right from pure silks to polyster silks) and semi-precious/artificial stones. You could also visit Jute Cottage (there is one branch in Cambridge Layout) which has a wide range of handicrafts- door hangings, picture frames, tiny statues, patchwork or embroidered bags, jute items- from various states in India.

I once got handicraft items. You can get different types based on your budget. Rajasthani paintings or other local paintings on paper or cloth. Can also get a handicraft taj mahal.

I bring back these handcrafted elephants.
They are super adorable and look cool around the home.
Be careful of the wood though, customs will make some issues… In Australia anyway :)
If the wood is good and treated, ask for a certificate or something.
My father does and customs lets them through.
